IASWG 2024 Symposium - Program Schedule

Times are listed local Madrid time (GMT +2). 

The Symposium will take place June 12 - June 14, 2024. The activities will take place mostly in-person. There will be some hybrid presentation offerings. Registration rates include educational presentations on Wednesday, June 12th, Thursday June 13th and Friday, June 14th. Wednesday's coffee breaks and cocktail dinner along with lunch and coffee breaks on Thursday and Friday are included in the registration fee. There is no fee for the GroupoLab pre-symposium event; however, registration for this event is required. 

Tuesday, 11, June 2024 - Pre-symposium Institute 

Wednesday, 12, June 2024 - Symposium Day 1

  • Morning – Optional Outstitue: Tour an Environmental Classroom
  • 14:00 to 15:00 (2:00pm to 3:00pm) – Registration Check-In & Student Welcome
  • 15:00 to 15:30 (3:00pm to 3:30pm) – 30-minute Presentations (session 1)
  • 15:40 to 16:10 (3:40pm to 4:10pm) – 30-minute Presentations (session 2)
  • 16:10 to 16:30 (4:10pm to 4:30pm) – Coffee Break
  • 16:30 to 17:30 (4:30pm to 5:30pm) – 60-minute Presentations (session 3)
  • 17:45 to 19:00 (5:45pm to 7:00pm) – Welcoming Ceremony & Plenary Presentation on Somosaguas Campus
  • 19:00 - 21:00 (7:00pm to 9:00pm) – Social and Cocktails on Somosaguas Campus

Thursday, 13 June 2024 - Symposium Day 2

  • 8:30 to 9:00 – Registration Check-in & Student Meetup
  • 9:00 to 9:45 – 45-minute Presentations (session 4)
  • 9:55 to 10:40 – 45-minute Presentations (session 5)
  • 10:40 to 11:00 – Coffee Break
  • 11:00 to 11:45 – 45-minute Presentations (session 6)
  • 12:00 to 13:00 – 60-minute Presentations (session 7)
  • 13:00 to 15:30 (1:00pm to 3:30pm) – Lunch & Poster Presentations
  • 15:30 to 16:30 (3:30pm to 4:30pm) – 60-minute Presentations (session 8)
  • 16:30 to 17:00 (4:30pm to 5:00pm) – Coffee Break
  • 17:00 to 18:00 (5pm to 6pm) – Plenary Presentation
  • 20:00 to 22:00 (8pm to 10pm) – Social Party near Moncloa

Friday, 14 June 2024 - Symposium Day 3

  • 12:30 to 13:00 – 30-minute Presentations (session 12)
  • 13:00 to 15:00 – Membership Meeting & Lunch, includes a lunch meetup for students
  • 15:00 to 16:00 (3pm to 4pm) – 60-minute Presentations (session 13) 
  • 16:00 to 17:30 (4:30pm to 5:00pm) – Coffee Break
  • 16:20 to 17:30 (4:20pm to 5:30pm) – Plenary Presentation & Closing Celebration
