DESCRIPTION

Fátima Masoud es artista y activista en salud mental, antirracista y feminista. Forma parte del colectivo Orgullo Loco Madrid. Tiene un máster de adicciones en la Universidad de Barcelona, escribe, pinta y sigue sobreviviendo al sistema psiquiátrico.

Orgullo Loco Madrid es un conjunto de colectivos conformados por personas psiquiatrizadas que reivindican una nueva forma de abordar y comprender la locura. Se trata de un movimiento social y político que busca tener voz propia (tradicionalmente han sido los profesionales y las familias las que han hablado por las personas psiquiatrizadas). 

A partir de una conversación abierta y participativa pretendemos acercarnos a este movimiento, su origen, sus reivindicaciones, su propuesta asamblearia y participativa, sus planteamientos en torno a la locura, los tensionamientos con el mundo profesional y cual debería ser el papel de las trabajadoras sociales, entre otras cuestiones.

Fatima Masoud is an artist and mental health, anti-racist and feminist activist. She is part of the Orgullo Loco Madrid collective. She has a master's degree in addictions from the University of Barcelona, writes, paints and continues to survive the psychiatric system.
Orgullo Loco Madrid is a group of collectives made up of psychiatric patients who demand a new way of approaching and understanding madness. It is a social and political movement that seeks to have its own voice (traditionally it has been the professionals and families who have spoken for psychiatric patients). 
From an open and participatory conversation we intend to approach this movement, its origin, its claims, its assembly and participatory proposal, its approaches to madness, the tensions with the professional world and what should be the role of social workers, among other issues.
